On September 23 2016 I had the honor of competing against 11 amazing artists in a live art battle, which we had 20 minutes to create a painting on canvas, it was amazing. I had never painted in front of anyone , so it was extremely overwhelming but, the gallery made it easy for me. Food was great the audience was fantastic, interviews, sponsers, ect... all and all, my piece sold in a silent auction that night and I was very proud ot it.

Nov 2015 My piece WHISPERS was juried into City Arts Gallery Wichita Kansas, by Brian Hinkle. It was a very humble and proud moment for me. 300 entries submitted and 60 were picked. Amazing talented artists among the chosen to display. It was an eventful exhibition. My piece sold not long there after to a couple from New York City who were in town on business.

Interview with artist Iris Fletcher —
2.Why Art?
Art is very intriguing to me. Its an escape from the real world, which can be so overwhelming at times. I love creativity. Art lets me communicate what I feel, and cannot verbalize. I feel free, and I zone in to my canvas in my small working area, and I hear and see no one.
